Orange County Transportation Authority - First Street/Bolsa Avenue Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The First Street/Bolsa Avenue Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program project provides operational and infrastructure improvements at 5 intersections in the City of Huntington Beach on Bolsa Avenue from Bolsa Chica Street to Springdale Street.
Improvements include:
Install network communication switches
Install new traffic signal controllers
Updated traffic signal timing
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Current Cooperative Agreement No. C-1-3598 expires on December 31, 2026.
Amendment No.1 extends the expiration date for one year to December 31, 2027.
Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute Amendment No.1 to the Cooperative Agreement No. C-1-3598 between Orange County Transportation Authority and Cities of Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, Tustin, and Westminster for First Street/Bolsa Avenue Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program Project.
PROJECT COSTS
Funding for the City’s local match of the project costs has been budgeted in the Traffic Congestion Relief Fund, Account 21990426.82700. No further appropriation is requested for this action.
