Project Background
On August 10, 2026, the Public Works Department received six bid openings for the Well 4 Facilities Upgrade Project
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Reject all bids, re-advertise, and re-bid project
EXPLANATION
Bids were opened on August 10, 2026. However, the Notice Inviting Bids was not published in a daily, semi-weekly, or weekly newspaper published in the County or City as required by Section 503 of the City Charter.
Staff therefore recommends rejecting all bids and re-advertising the project. Staff will coordinate with the City Clerk’s Office to properly publish the Notice Inviting Bids prior to rebidding the project.
