The Study Session of the City Council of the City of Huntington Park, California was called to order at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 6550 Miles Avenue, Huntington Park, California; Mayor Eduardo “Eddie” Martinez presiding.
PRESENT: Council Member(s): Macias, Martiz, Vice Mayor Sanabria, and Mayor Martinez
ABSENT: Council Member(s): None
CITY OFFICIALS/STAFF: Eduardo Sarmiento City Clerk; Louis Morales Interim Community Development Director; Cosme Lozano Chief of Police; Jeff Jones Finance Director, Gerardo “Gerry” Lopez Public Works Director, Cynthia Norzagaray Parks and Recreation Director; Andrew Sarega City Attorney.
MOTION: Council member Sanabria motioned to bring back to the March 24, 2026, City Council meeting with detailed presentation. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Macias. Councilmember Martiz requested data on local neighboring cities [Population size, and pricing], and use this information to determine future steps. The motion was carried by majority vote.
