The Study Session of the City Council of the City of Huntington Park, California was called to order at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 6550 Miles Avenue, Huntington Park, California; Mayor Eduardo “Eddie” Martinez.
PRESENT: Council Member(s): Macias, Martiz (arrived @ 5:27pm), Vice Mayor Sanabria, and Mayor Martinez
ABSENT: Council Member(s): Flores
CITY OFFICIALS/STAFF: Eduardo Sarmiento City Clerk; Louis Morales Community Development Director; Sergio Infanzon Communications Director; Eric Markus City Attorney; Ricardo Reyes City Manager.
MOTION: Councilmember received a presentation regarding Arts in Public Places Ordinance. Louis Morales Community Development
Director conducted a process review and allowed Council to provide potential feedback on the ordinance and process.

Vice Mayor Sanabria: What direction are we looking for? Where can it be installed and what are we aiming to install it in.
Mayor Martinez: Would like to see if an art mural can be unveiled at the art walk.
Will this ordinance be in process before then? [Communications Director: that mural will be done with a separate process]. He would like construction projects to be build around art pieces and not replace art pieces.
