The Study Session of the City Council of the City of Huntington Park, California was called to order at 5:13 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 6550 Miles Avenue, Huntington Park, California; Mayor Eduardo “Eddie” Martinez presiding.
PRESENT: Council Member(s): Martiz, Macias, and Mayor Martinez ABSENT: Council Member(s):Flores, and Vice Mayor Sanabria.
CITY OFFICIALS/STAFF: Eduardo Sarmiento City Clerk; Louis Morales Community Development Director; Gerardo Lopez Public Works Director; Sergio Infanzon Communications Director; Andrew Sarega City Attorney; Ricardo Reyes City Manager.
MOTION: Mayor and Councilmembers received a presentation from various departments regarding the upcoming City Hall and Salt Lake Park Recreation Building Renovations; and Discussion on the Possible Location for City Council Meetings During the Closure.
Councilmember Macias expressed concerns about shutting down entirely, but since it is an older building for the safety of residents and staff it’s best to shut down and work out of bungalows in the same address. Presentation was received a filed.
