Vice Mayor Sanabria: Thank you to staff for all the work that they did on the budget.

Thank you so much for staff for the work that has been done at the various events. The artists from Rosarito were very cool. Maybe we could attend one of Rosarito’s events one day. Vice Mayor asked questions regarding the PD fundraising event at the “Carniceria” near Salt Lake Park. Thank you all so much for the work you all do.

Mayor Martinez: Thank you to staff for making sure we’re here safe. Thank you to everyone who supported and attended the Art Walk. The event is growing and people like it. Mayor Martinez had the opportunity to attend the Gateway COG and advocate for the South East Light Rail line. We have an administration that has placed a lot of projects on hold. He mentioned how the cities of Artesia, Cerritos, and Downey make it a habit to meet with their representatives, and this leads to potential securing in funding and wanted to see how Huntington Park could do something similar with our federal, state, and county representatives. The City Manager, Mayor, and Vice Mayor should make it a habit to visit them on an annual basis.
