WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS

COUNCIL COMMUNICATIONS
Councilmember Martiz: Thank You Sergio for all the research you’ve done. It must’ve not been easy. However, I still have that sense of commitment to the community that even if we were unable to get a pool in our backyard, at least we can make the resource available for community members. Thank you for the mixer, I am very excited. I will try to make it, I have work on Thursday in Burbank, but I will try to be here by 6pm. The last Art Mixer we had really encompassed why we have an Art’s Commission and an Art Walk and all the talent that was in the room and seeing all the different types of artists connecting in one space was very powerful. I also encourage staff and council members to attend if you can. Thank you all for your support with pride month, and all the other initiatives. For everybody’s support on getting this Term Limit Ballot Measure before the residents decide. It is really a game changer for Huntington Park. Have a good night and thank you all for your hard work.

Councilmember Macias: Have a good night. The aquatic center is still a possibility, and looks forward to that in the future.

Councilmember Flores: Thank you all for all you do. Have a good night! Vice Mayor Sanabria: Thank you staff. Thank you all you are here every single day doing the great work. The only thing I would recommend is we get ready for next year. I think it would be easier for Police to catch illegal fireworks if we didn’t have fireworks in this community. Have a great night!
Mayor Martinez: Brought up Issue regarding Veterans Park. A few of the crossing lights are not working. His sister saw a youth cross attempting to cross the street. Lets get these fix but also would like to ensure we check the lights on a quarterly basis and ensure that they are fixed. Vice Mayor will be in attendance for the city. He’ll be out of town until Monday.
