C. Action Items: (Discussion/Action– Approve-Disapprove) C-1. SUBJECT: State Lobbyist & Advocacy Services for the City of Imperial
1. Award of Professional Services Agreement for State Lobbyist & Advocacy Services for the City of Imperial not to exceed $60,000.00 per fiscal year.
MANAGER D. MORITA PRESENTED THE STAFF REPORT.
FRANK SALAZAR FROM INSERT PUBLIC AFFAIRS WAS PRESENT AND HIS TWO COLLEGS JONATHAN CLAY AND ERIN GILBERT VIA ZOOM. THERE COMPANY
WILL BE HIRED BY THE CITY OF IMPERIAL TO BE AN ADVOCATE IN SACRAMENTO FOR THE CITY.
MAYOR BURNWORTH, THE COUNCIL LOOKS FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU.
MY GOAL WAS TO HAVE A LOBBYIST AT THE STATE LEVEL TO MAKE SURE IMPERIAL HAS THE BESTGRANT OPPORTUITIES.
AMPARANO MOTIONED TO APPROVE THE SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR STATE LOBBYIST AND ADVOCACY SERVICES FOR THE CITYOF IMPERIAL. TUCKER SECONDED THE MONTION.
AYES: OBESO-MARTINEZ, TUCKER, BURNWORTH, AMPARANO, MENDOZA NAYS: NONE
