SUBJECT: DISSCUSION/ACTION: Resolution Declaring Emergency and Authorizing Repair I. Approval of Resolution 10 authorize repair of a city wastewater line on an emergency basis.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
There is a City wastewater line located in the alley to the west of El Zarape Restaurant. A sewer backup occurred at the restaurant and, upon inspection, it was discovered that the City wastewater line is in a deteriorated condition and is not properly sloped. As a consequence of the condition of the wastewater line, there is significant exposure to an interruption in service and/or a sewer spill. Such condition poses a threat to the public health and safety and it is recommended that Council adopt the attached resolution which would authorize repair of the wastewater line on an emergency basis.
