I. Discussion/Action Regarding Resolution No. 2024-49 Adopting Plans and Specifications and Authorizing Public Bidding for the Pavement Rehabilitation of Various Roads in the City of Imperial; Bid No. 2024-06.

BACKGROU D/SUMMARY:
The Public Services Department has prepared plans and specifications for the Pavement Rehabilitation of Various City Roads Project, Bid No. 2024-06. Streets identified for improvement are Preble Road, Myrtle Road, La Brucherie Road and streets within Sunset Ranch, Wild Flower, and Victoria Ranch (Maps located at end of specifications).
Work will occur within City of Right of way. The work to be done consists of traffic control around the construction zones, grinding existing AC pavement, HMA leveling course, install ARAM, and ARHM overlay. New pavement striping, raising/lowering of utilities, and materials testing will be provided by the City.
The project will bid in accordance with the Public Contract Code (PCC). The project plans and specifications will be on file with the City Clerk at City Hall located at 420 S. Imperial Ave, Imperial, CA 92251.
FISCAL IMPACT: NOT TO EXCEED
Estimated construction cost is $2.6M.
Funds were discovered dunng FY budget review within the Successor Agency Fund (Fund 94), previously known as the Redevelopment Funds account. Funds were previously mis-allocated on FY18-19, 19-20, and 20-21. Discussions with Department of Finance resulted In an agreement to reallocate the funds into the General Fund account. Such funds (RedevelopmenVSuccessor Agency) are eligible to be utilized on street maintenance and improvements.
