What I’ve learned from Community Power in a nutshell:

On Newscum, I 💯agree with Jack.
Somebody should've made "Newscum Isn't My Governor" flags on day one! ...Except those aren't nearly strong enough words. Think back to the Anti-Biden flags, if you catch my drift.
I also feel the same way about the Mexico First Agenda.
On the Sewer Rate stuff, Jack expressed my perspective perfectly. I like/don't like when that happens, if you know what I mean.
You used a perfect phrase on the cost increases: "Through no fault of our own." If this sewer system is through a JPA, then perhaps the MOU language requires reworking – Put some required responsibility on when a Member is at fault.
Perhaps that isn't possible when the Majority "Stakeholder" (City of San Diego) is also the one "at fault" with broken equipment, broken infrastructure, a broken budget, and broken brains.
Okay another idea: Ask for a County-funded Bailout. Their Corrupt Board has given MILLIONS and MILLIONS of Tax Dollar Bailouts to the Broken City of San Diego – Why a.1 05/20/2026 Item No 6

In all reality, as slightly admitted, these increased rates are directly due to the Impure Toilet To Tap Crap Water Project – The project with slow-as-sludge pipe progress all over the City of San Diego.
SANDAG's $30+ million Imperial Ave Bikeway is faster, which says...something...about government Fraud and Waste.

Regarding a portion of my comments from the May 6th meeting...
Interesting that Staff Redacted an image I put out from a record I received from the City that was NOT REDACTED❗❗ 🙃
I'm referring to Fascist Matthew's email address and phone number, which the City happily provided me. 😂
I'm concerned that the Clerk's Office doesn't know what they're doing if they suddenly have a problem with that information being available to anyone in the public when they had NO problem before.
Is it only because of WHO it was about? 🤔
Because remember at the September 3rd, 2025 Council meeting when I talked about how on July 12th, 2025, Clerk Kelly alerted Matty boy to the fact that iNewsource was looking into the Building Construction Trades Council? – In a Public Records Request that didn’t even include Matthew’s name!
There seems to be an upside down policy and Political Bias with some of those working in the IB Clerk Office. Very concerning. Any leftover Fascist Manuela garbage should be thrown out – It’s too toxic to be recycled. 🗑
Speaking of which...(Excluding Mitch) Did you know that District 1 (which includes IB, of course) had ZERO Representation at the last May 8th SANDAG meeting? Yep, that Fascist Manuela was too scared to face the consequences of her own conspiratorial actions. Does Matty boy know what I'm referring to? Perhaps we should look into his call records to find out... Maybe we already are. 😁 In related trash...

2. Isn't Manuela Paloma Aguirre Bacalski SO Corrupt and Despicable for publicly Doxxing me after the May 1st, 2026 SANDAG meeting, thereby VIOLATING California Civil Code Section 1708.89⁉️
3. Isn't Matthew Leyba-Gonzalez SO Corrupt and Despicable for previously NEVER filing the REQUIRED Statements of Economic Interests VIOLATING the Public's Right to see his Conflicts Of Interest⁉️
Or is it okay to IGNORE CORRUPTION...as long as it’s your own TRASH DEADBEAT Party? 🤔
IB deserves GOOD people in Office who are truly going to serve the community, rather than themselves.
Mitch, Carol, Jack, and Mariko have all been doing that well. Whoever’s not down to continue that selfless service, don’t even try to step in the way of IB’s new direction and bright future, celebrating 70 years. ☀

The proposed increases appear to be fair, reasonable and necessary to correct current inequities between represented and unrepresented employees' salaries, and to retain and attract quality employees. Except for the one time 2% increase, future salary increases will still be merit based.
The only issue that I did not see addressed in the staff report is how this might affect the City's future pension obligations. I assume they are not included in the $255,000 cost to the City.
