The City Council of the City of Inglewood, California held a special meeting on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in the Council Chambers in City Hall of said City.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our Country, Mayor Butts called the City Council into session at the hour of 3:00 p.m.
The City Clerk announced the presence of a quorum as follows:
Present: Council Members Dotson, Padilla, Morales, Faulk, and Mayor Butts; and
Absent: None.
City officials and personnel present were as follows:

Louis Atwell Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director PUBLIC COMMENTS. Mayor Butts inquired if there were any persons present who wished to address the City Council on any item on the Agenda.
There was no response.
301 RESOLUTION NO. 23-06 ADOPTED – “ GOOD CAUSE ” EXTENSION AND CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE SKY POSTER S LOCATED AT 9800 SOUTH LA CIENEGA BOULEVARD, INGLEWOOD, BEYOND JANUARY 1, 2023, PURSUANT TO BUSINESS AND PR OFESSION S CODE SECTION 5273.1(b); MAYOR AUTHORIZED TO SEND THE RESOLUTION ALONG WITH A LETTER TO CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
Staff report dated October 4, 2022, was presented recommending that the Mayor and Council Members adopt a Resolution finding “ good cause ” for extension and continued operation of the Sky Posters super graphic displays located at 9800 South La Cienega Boulevard, Inglewood, beyond January 1, 2023, pursuant to Business & Professions Code section 5273.1(b).
It was moved by Council Member Morales, and seconded by Council Member Dotson that the City Council does hereby: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 23-06 entitled:
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
INGLEWOOD FINDING “ GOOD CAUSE ” FOR AN EXTENSION OF THE
CONTINUED EXISTENCE AND OPERATION OF THE SKY POSTERS
SUPER GRAPHIC DISPLAYS LOCATED AT 9800 SOUTH LA CIENEGA BOULEVARD, INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA BEYOND JANUARY 1, 2023 PURSUANT TO BUSINESS & PROF ESSIONS CODE SECTION 5273.1 (b) and ; 2) Authorize the Mayor to send the Resolution along with a letter to California Department of Transportation requesting a “ good cause ” extension for Sky Posters. The motion was carried by the following roll call vote:
Ayes: Council Members Dotson, Padilla, Morales, Faulk, and Mayor Butts; and Noes: None.
