F. PUBLIC COMMENT:
Jim Scully, handed out emails between Corrections and Regional dated June, 2021.
This email serves as the Regional Board’s agreement to waive the discharge prohibition from Mule Creek State Prison to Ione’s Wastewater Treatment Plant until further dialogue and information are gathered. This email seems to be the serving basis for a lot of illegal activities going on as far as their waste disposal.
Larry Rhoades commented:
• Would like to bring back “Written Communications to the City Council Agenda
• Would like the City’s lawsuits filed with the County be on the City’s website.
• On the recent tour of sewer plants, the operator said there are two pipes going to the sewer plant from the Tertiary Plant—we are spending money on West Yost Engineering for nothing.
Karl Klezer, Wildflower Subdivision commented that there are building codes violations that the City has acknowledged on his property. I would like the new members of the Council take a look at them and address the issues.
Tommy Quinn commented:
• Would like a Public Works representative attend the City Council meetings • Need one more Police Officer to enforce traffic laws in the City • Would like the City to hire a Building Inspector that is qualified to do Code Enforcement particularly on the house directly behind his.

• Privileged to have a wonderful community
• Invited the public and Council to attend the Historic Preston Foundation Meeting tomorrow at City Hall at 1:00 pm for a Veterans Housing Project at Preston.
Rene Hansen representing the group that would like to see the BMX Track at Howard Park restored. There is currently a BMX Track at Howard Park and is currently part of the Master Plan. We have a lot of people willing to work with the City to have it restored.
David Barnes asked for an update on the Caltrans drainage project on Main Street which was started in December, 2022. Mayor Rhoades will be talking to Caltrans and will give Mr. Barnes an update.
Dominic Atlan commented on the Council meeting start time:
• Two years ago we discussed the meeting start time and everyone agreed the meeting would start at 6:00 p.m. with Closed Session at the beginning. • I would like the meetings to start at 6:00 p.m., but if we are going to change it to an earlier time, then it should be done before the next election, so people know of the start time.

It is a concern because I have children that cannot afford to live here.
