F. PUBLIC COMMENT:

Martha Turpin addressed Mayor LaFayne, Vice Mayor Wratten and Councilmember Atlan:
• Closed Session being heard by members of the audience • Money owed to the City by Mayor Lafayne
• The alleged violations against Councilmember Mitchell by Councilmember Atlan

Susan Priest, resident of the Castle Oaks Subdivision had several questions regarding the possible closing of the Castle Oaks Golf Course. The City Attorney, Andy Pinasco suggested Ms. Priest contact the City Manager to discuss further.

Tommy Quinn:
• We have to get some more money for the Police, there is not enough Police in this town to take care of the traffic. I don’t see squad cars ever in my neighborhood, I live around the corner. Not because our Police Department is inefficient, they are great, our Police Chief is great, but they just don’t have enough people, the traffic in this town sucks.
• Jack Mitchell runs a newspaper. Newspapers are really rare these days, it is hard to find a newspaper. It does not pay a lot and serves the people greatly everything from obituaries to little league scores to letters to the editor, like I read in the last one. I don’t like the word “lackey”. This is America—you are not an American Dominic. You might be a citizen but not an American— you did not grow up here. You grew up where you are a subject.

Dominic, I am not a “bigot” like you either. You don’t like Australians. Now you don’t anyone who is not an American.

This is a complete lack of class, which is typical. We have lost so much money, these two not liking hires. They hire somebody and then after a couple of months they fire them. Then it is another $20,000, a whole bunch of money. We have George Lee and please don’t leave, so have the previous four people up to Mr. Rock, who bleed us dry. Jack does a good job of doing things for the community and don’t like seeing him run over the coals.

Anybody could have his name slandered, liable in his own newspaper. He is a pretty great guy. Enough of that Dominic, yeah you got no class man.

Jack Copeland – I live in Jackson and trying to move to Ione, but can’s until you people figure out about Mule Creek Water. Two people on the Council are adamantly for accepting Mule Creek water, two are against it and the Mayor’s situation is unknown. There was a notice published in the Ledger Dispatch from CDCR requesting an RFP-Architectural and Engineering Services for hazardous material investigation and remediation. Finally, it looks like the new Warden is getting CDCR to admit what everybody has known for years. That is absolute hazardous material water. It is a disgrace that this town is even considering putting it on a public golf course. Here are a few things that tell you a lot about Mule Creek’s hazardous water:
• No one is allowed to go on their spray field and they have trenched an entire area to make sure no water gets on anyone else’s land. • The Mi-Wuk was offered this water and refused it because it is a hazard to their cattle.
• Every time a hazardous waste spill happens it gets reported to the Governor’s Office of Emergency services.

Larry Rhoades, I would just like to say, Dominic, the only time I have been interviewed by the Ledger Dispatch was when I was 13 years. It was for winning the Youth Shoot at Sunnybrook. I have never been interviewed by the Ledger Dispatch like you said, Dominic.

Oral Custer, we are very fortunate to have two people running for Supervisor I am not endorsing any candidate because they are both good candidates.

Sorry to see the sparks that we saw a few minutes ago, it does not become the City Council.

Andy Aguilera, when are we going to find out what Mule Creek is doing with their water. I do not see the spray fields going. I think the City Manager or Council needs to look into it.

G. INFORMATION ITEMS: No action taken.
