He noted that the joint meeting included discussion regarding housing and the related state mandates. He stated that he was unsure whether the Council ever reached a final decision as to its vision for the use of the 10- acre site, including the 3- acre portion that has been reserved for housing. He suggested holding a community workshop as soon as possible to gauge the public' s preferences for the site.

COUNCILMEMBER Councilmember Ortiz commended the Recreation Department staff ORTIZ and the Parks & Recreation Commission for their involvement in the successful Easter Eggstravaganza event. He also thanked staff for coordinating the Mayor' s State of the City event, and noted the high level of participation at the recent City Council/Planning Commission joint meeting. He suggested that additional joint meetings be held in the future.
MAYOR BURROLA In response to a question by Mayor Burrola, City Attorney Guerra advised that the City has previously transferred land to the Housing Authority, and that a community workshop could be held anytime to discuss what should be developed at the site. City Attorney Guerra noted that Mayor Pro Tern Ambriz asked about the Council' s vision for the site, and further advised that it is his understanding that the 3- acre portion of the site has been identified as being reserved for housing in the General Plan, though he was unsure whether the portion has been zoned for such use. He noted that, should the City wish to include more than 3 acres for housing, the General Plan and the Zoning Code would likely need to be amended.
CITY ATTORNEY City Attorney Guerra requested for the Council to provide input to staff GUERRA on what it envisions for placement at the ' I0--acre site, after which staff would be equipped to carve out a path forward with regard to the General Plan and the Zoning Code.
