This organization has applied for a Community Services Grant from the City of Jurupa Valley. Under the State Political Reform Act and the Fair Political Practices Commission Regulations, Council Member Silva may not participate in the Council's discussion or decision involving Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family. The Council can separate the consideration of the grant application of Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family from the other applications and hear that application first. In this case, Council Member Silva could hear the Staff Report and public comments but would need to leave the Council Chamber while the Council decided whether to approve, partially approve or deny the grant application of Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family. Once that is completed, Council Member Silva could return to the dais and participate in the Council consideration of the other grant applications.

Council Member Silva recused himself and left the Council Chamber during the discussion on the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family application. He returned to the dais after the discussion was over.
