Special City Council Meeting
May 30, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Regular Meeting called to order at 4:04pm by Mayor LeBarre.
2. ROLL CALL:
City Council: Mayor Mike LeBarre, Council member, Rob Cullen Mayor Pro Tem Carlos Victoria
Council member Oscar Avalos and Carlos DeLeon absent
City Staff: City Manager Steve Adams; City Attorney Roy Santos (Teleconference); City Clerk, Erica Sonne; Mike Howard, Finance Director; Octavio Hurtado Public Works Director; Doreen Liberto, Community Development Director; Mark McClain, Chief Building Official; Tom Nuck, Fire Department Admin Asst.; James Hunt, Police Chief; Andrea Wasson, Recreation Manager.
3. FLAG SALUTE:
The flag salute was led by Mayor LeBarre.
4. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS:

5. REGULAR BUSINESS:
A. Consideration of Recommended FY 2023-24/FY 2024-25 Biennial Budget Recommendation: 1) receive a presentation of the proposed FY 2023-24/ FY 2024-25 Biennial Budget; 2) provide direction on any desired changes; and 3) direct staff to draft a Resolution for adoption of the Budget at the June 13, 2023, meeting.
City Manager Steve Adams introduced this item with a PowerPoint presentation.
Finance Director Mike Howard further introduced this item.
City Manager Adams went over Long-Range Financial Plan Scenario | and II.
City Council received the presentation of the proposed FY2021-22/ FY2022-23 Budget with each department speaking on their accomplishments and goals.
City Council thanked for the amount of work accomplishing everything that has been accomplished. They feel every department is vital. The Mayor stated that when he speaks of King City, he brags about King City working as a team.
City Council directed staff to draft a Resolution for adoption of the Budget at the June 13, 2023 meeting
