City Council Meeting
June 25, 2024
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Regular Meeting called to order at 6:00pm by Mayor LeBarre.
2. ROLL CALL:
City Council: Mayor Mike LeBarre, Council member Carlos DeLeon, Mayor Pro Tem Carlos Victoria, Council member Rob Cullen absent, Council members Oscar Avalos.
City Staff: Acting City Manager Chief James Hunt; City Attorney Roy Santos (remotely); City Clerk, Erica Sonne.
3. FLAG SALUTE:
The flag salute was led by Fire Chief Nichols.

5. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS:
A. Recognition of Russ Nichols for retirement as King City Fire Chief by Mayor LeBarre presenting him with a plaque and proclamation.

7. COUNCIL COMMUNICATIONS:
Council Member DeLeon stated he had nothing to report this evening.
Council Member Avalos stated he had nothing to report this evening Mayor Pro Tem Victoria stated he attended the Mayor's Block Party for District 2, and it was a nice event.
Mayor LeBarre thanked Teresita Garcia for all her hard work on the block party and everyone who helped.
8. CITY STAFF REPORTS AND COMMENTS:
Acting City Manager Chief Hunt stated Officer Cody Hughes and Officer Michael Hernandez are done with FTO program and patrolling on solo. Thursday Officer Salazar and Hernandez will graduate the academy and starting FTO next week.
City Attorney Santos had nothing to report tonight.

10. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. Consideration: Riverview Gardens Landscape Maintenance District Annual Assessment for Fiscal Year 2024-25
Finance Director Mike Howard introduced this item. In April included in the updated CPI and the Actual CPI is 3.76.
Mayor LeBarre opened the Public Hearing, seeing no one come forward, Mayor LeBarre closed the public hearing.
Action: Motion to adopt Resolution No. 2024-4998 approving the report and ordering the levy and collection of assessments for the Riverview Gardens Landscape Maintenance District pursuant to provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California by Avalos seconded by DeLeon.

11. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. Consideration: Adjustments to the FY 2024-25 Budget
Finance Director Mike Howard introduced this item.
Action: Motion to adopt 1) approve the recommended adjustments to the FY 2024-25 Budget; and 2) adopt a Resolution establishing the appropriation limit from tax proceeds for FY 2024-25 by Victoria seconded by Avalos.
