WORKSHOP MINUTES
AUGUST 8, 2024
1. Call to Order: At 6:00 pm the City Council and Planning Commission Workshop was called to order by Mayor Pursell.
Council Members present: Palomar, Smith, Silva, and Mayor Pursell, Jr.
Council Members Absent: North
Planning Commissioners present: Gonzales, Blayney, Brock, Ruch and Kruper Planning Commissioners absent: Ekizian and Taylor
Staff present: Alex Henderson, Michael Noland, and Holly Owen
2. Public Comments: None.
3. Focused General Plan Update
Sara Allinder, Principal Planner from Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group, presented the update to the council members and planning commissioners. This is a workshop to present the start of the project. She explained what a General Plan is and how Kingsburg will be updating its own General Plan. This includes meeting new State Law requirements, confirming the current vision for the community, and reorganizing the documents to be more accessible. She also presented the timeline of the project. Projected completion is Fall 2025.
Sara answered some questions from the council members and commissioners. Next Workshop is mid fall of this year.
4. Adjourn Kingsburg City Council and Planning Commission Workshop: At 6:30 pm, Mayor Pursell adjourned the meeting.
