Revenue Collection Report – FY 24-25 – Presentation by City Manager Alexander Henderson Sponsor: City Manager’s Office
City Manager Henderson presented the revenue collection report, noting that the City has now received the majority of revenues for Fiscal Year 2024–2025. Bradley-Burns revenue is up 3%, reflecting steady growth. Measure E revenue has since normalized and is generating approximately $1 million more than Bradley-Burns, with collections 1.5% higher than budgeted.

Council Member Smith inquired about the 44% increase in permits and fees. City Manager Henderson explained that the City takes a conservative approach when budgeting. The increase is primarily attributed to single-family homes, along with engineering fees for larger projects.

Discussion also included Airbnb activity, top sales tax generators, and Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) collections. Council Member North asked whether the City’s TOT rate of 12% is comparable to other cities. City Manager Henderson confirmed that it is comparable.

Recommendation: Informational – no action deemed necessary FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: None.
