City Council Special Meeting - February 08, 2022

Mayor Arapostathis called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.

This comment is in reference to the 2 level marijuana dispensary on Hillside Dr. As a resident of this neighborhood I STRONGLY OPPOSE this dispensary. Why have a dispensary on a quiet residential street where children live?? There is a school and church directly across the street, not to mention a dispensary less than a mile away and a plethora of them in La Mesa already. There is scarce parking in our neighborhood! This drug shop will only increase traffic and decrease parking for us and our neighbors. It is time for the City Council to listen to and prioritize its citizens over profit! If the tables were turned and your home was going to be next to a dispensary, you too would not be happy. Why is it ok to subject citizens to this when you yourself would do everything in your power to stop it if it were in your neighborhood? There were no comments.
Mayor Arapostathis adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:02 p.m.
