7. PUBLIC COMMENTS – (TOTAL TIME – 15 MINUTES)
Public Comments
Richard Hammett
Please review the condition of Waite Drive from the West City boarder with San Diego to Massachusetts Avenue and repave / re-stripe the entire right-of-way in early 2023. The condition of the road surface has many ruts and pot holes. Resident drop-off / temporary parking in the right-of-way along the south side of Waite Drive in front of the multi-family apartment complexes can cause congestion at certain times of the day. This is understandable and would benefit from a better roadway surface. NOTE: rumor has it that Mrs. Johnson sat her baby on the road surface and the little fellow crawled down a fissure in the road surface and was finally found 100 yards east as he emerged an hour later out of a giant pot-hole holding a puppy...only a rumor but highly possible given the condition of the road surface. Thank You for Your attention to this important matter. Happy New Year when it gets here. Richard Hammett, Vista La Mesa, California Mary Davis spoke regarding the City's travel reimbursement policy and requested the City fly the National Sanctity of Life flag in January 2023.
Dianne Osterling spoke regarding Covid fatality rates and affordable housing and congratulated the newly elected and re-elected City officials.
