My kids who are in their 30s took their swim lessons at the pool. I would love to see the 1950s Tropical art for the mural. That is classic and will never be trendy or "out dated". I also love the name of the park being on the Mural. We always just called it the La Mesa Pool and I don't know that we even knew the name of the park.

There needs to be a complete crackdown on the e-motorcycles. They need to be impounded and parents should have to pay the impound fee. This is happening in Chula Vista. The e-motorcycles are becoming especially dangerous around LMAAC. They regularly e-bikes with a top speed of 20 mph I don’t have a problem with.

Teresa Propper (15 year resident of La Mesa)
I would like to provide my feedback on the city wide e-bike ban for children under 11. I am a parent of a 15 year old boy who owns an e-bike and rides frequently in La Mesa. I support this age ban as well as my son. I have witnessed younger kids not teenagers riding irresponsibly. Sometimes they have no helmets and are doing wheelies down la mesa blvd with no regard to their safety or others. My son has witnessed these kids using their bike to kick dirt onto pedestrians who are walking. They have no regard for respect and frequently use profanity by yelling at pedestrians/adults. Most of my son's friends who are 15 years and older ride responsibly by socializing at the local 7-eleven or practicing basketball at Helix High School. These teenagers respect the laws due to a legitimate fear of getting their expensive e-bike's confiscated or costly fines. If they want to practice tricks they do it in legally approved rural areas such as bike parks not within the city. Furthermore, there is a significant difference with kids under the age of 11. They are too young to understand the consequences and the safety concerns. I strongly agree with this age ban and hope the city will do the right thing.
Lane Adams submitted a comment in support of selecting Anna Pearson's mural design for installation on the MacArthur Park Municipal Pool Spa enclosure.
Josh Hamler submitted a comment supporting stricter enforcement and impoundment of e-bikes capable of speeds exceeding 20 miles per hour.
Teresa Propper submitted a comment supporting the proposed e-bike age restriction, citing safety concerns and irresponsible riding behavior among younger children.
