4.1 COMMUNITY SATISFACTION SURVEY
City Manager Boynton introduced the item. Senior Administrative Analyst Jorge Orozco and Godbe Research President Bryan Godbe were present to give a report.
Senior Administrative Analyst Orozco said staff has been working with Godbe Research to conduct a Community Satisfaction Survey. He said the survey would help shape the City's priorities and goals for the next Strategic Plan and identify ways to enhance programs and services. He said Godbe Research has conducted similar surveys in the past for the City and dozens of other public agencies. He said the responses received from the proposed survey would be tracked and compared to prior community satisfaction surveys to identify trends and changes.
Godbe Research President Bryan Godbe presented the proposed survey questions and surveying methods. He said the survey would consist of questions on the overall City Climate such as the importance and satisfaction with City programs and services; sense of community; maintaining and repairing City streets; recreational programming; and the ways residents receive City information. He said once he receives Council's input, the survey would be finalized and responses initiated beginning August 22.
