5.2 INTRODUCTION OF NEW FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES - It is recommended the City Council welcome Melissa Skau and Andres Lemus and present them with a $40 gift certificate to Panera Bread restaurant, a voucher for two tickets to the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, and two passes to Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center.

7.2 APPROVAL OF WARRANT REGISTER - It is recommended the City Council approve the warrant register dated July 11, 2023 in the total amount of $4,218,850.08.

7.3 APPROVAL OF USE OF FACILITY – LA MIRADA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL BOOSTER CLUB EVENT AT SPLASH! LA MIRADA REGIONAL AQUATICS CENTER BUCANEER BAY – It is recommended the City Council approve the use of facility for the Buccaneer Bay waterpark at Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center for the La Mirada High School Football Booster Club recreational event and waive all fees associated with the requested use.

7.4 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2022-03, CITY HALL FOUNTAIN RENOVATION – FINDING THAT PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT OF 1970, THE PROJECT IS CATEGORICALLY EXEMPT UNDER SECTION 15301 CLASS 1 (C) AND APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS - It is recommended the City Council find that pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, the project is categorically exempt under Section 15301 Class 1 (c) and will have no significant effect on the environment; approve the plans and specifications for Capital Improvement Project No. 2022-03, City Hall Fountain Renovation; and authorize the City Clerk to advertise for sealed bids.

7.5 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2018-03, IMPERIAL HIGHWAY PAVEMENT REHABILITATION FROM VALLEY VIEW AVENUE TO WICKER DRIVE - REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER - It is recommended the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a contract change order in the amount of $206,519.40.

7.6 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2023-04, BEHRINGER PARK IMPROVEMENTS PRELIMINARY RENOVATION PLAN AND FINAL DESIGN – APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE ON-CALL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DAVID VOLZ DESIGN - It is recommended the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the On-Call Professional Services Agreement between the City of La Mirada and David Volz Design to provide professional design services for CIP No. 2023-04, Behringer Park Improvements Preliminary Renovation Plan and Final Design, based on the David Volz Design proposal dated May 5, 2023, in the amount of $408,499 and authorize the City Manager to approve additional professional services to David Volz Design, if required, for up to 20 percent of the authorized contract amount.

7.7 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2023-05, LEFFINGWELL ROAD LANDSCAPE AND MEDIAN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT FROM TELEGRAPH ROAD TO STAMY ROAD – APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE ON-CALL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WILLDAN ENGINEERING - It is recommended the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the On-Call Professional Services Agreement between the City of La Mirada and Willdan Engineering to provide professional design services for CIP No. 2023-05, Leffingwell Road Landscape and Median Improvements Project from Telegraph Road to Stamy Road, based on the Willdan Engineering proposal dated May 5, 2023 in the amount of $216,956 and authorize the City Manager to approve additional professional services to Willdan Engineering if required, for up to 20 percent of the authorized contract amount.

7.8 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2018-02, ALONDRA BOULEVARD PAVEMENT REHABILITATION FROM VALLEY VIEW AVENUE TO MOTTLEY DRIVE - ACCEPTANCE OF WORK AND APPROVAL OF CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER - It is recommended the City Council accept the improvements constructed by R.J. Noble Company; authorize the City Manager to execute the Balancing Contract Change Order in the amount of $100,707.67; authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder; and authorize the payment of retention monies pursuant to the agreement.
