5.1 PROCLAMATION FOR NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH – It is recommended the City Council proclaim September 15, 2024 through October 15, 2024 as National Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of La Mirada and present a proclamation to Allison Ortiz.

5.2 INTRODUCTION OF NEW CITY EMPLOYEES - It is recommended the City Council welcome Nicholas Massey and Ramon Valenzuela and present them with a $40 gift certificate to Panera Bread restaurant, a voucher for two tickets to the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, and two passes to Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center.

7. APPOINTMENTS
7.1 REAPPOINTMENT TO THE COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION – It is recommended the City Council reappoint Desiree Johnson to the Community Services Commission for a term ending in June 2028.

7.2 DESIGNATION OF A VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXPO - It is recommended the City Council designate Councilmember Anthony A. Otero to serve as the City of La Mirada’s voting delegate at the League of California Cities Annual Conference and Expo.

8.2 APPROVAL OF WARRANT REGISTER - It is recommended the City Council approve the warrant register dated September 24, 2024 in the total amount of $1,139,987.14.

8.3 INVESTMENT REPORT FOR THE CITY OF LA MIRADA FOR THE MONTH ENDING AUGUST 2024 – It is recommended the City Council receive and file the City’s Investment Report for the month ending August 2024.

8.4 APPROVAL OF A WAREHOUSE NON-EXCLUSIVE LICENSE FOR PHANTOM PROJECTS - It is recommended the City Council approve the non-exclusive license for Fiscal Year 2024-25 for Phantom Projects and authorize the City Manager to execute the license on behalf of the City.

8.5 ENERGY CONSERVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE RENEWAL PROGRAM - APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 - It is recommended the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Change Order No. 1 to the agreement between the City of La Mirada and Climatec, LLC in the amount of $29,261.

9. PUBLIC HEARING
9.1 SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE NO. 734 ADOPTING TITLE 10 OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY CODE, BY REFERENCE, AND AMENDING TITLE 8 OF THE LA MIRADA MUNICIPAL CODE - It is recommended the City Council conduct a Public Hearing as required by law and accept for second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 734 adopting Title 10 of the Los Angeles County Code, by reference, and amending Title 8 of the La Mirada Municipal Code, by title only, and waive further reading.

10.1 RESOLUTION NO. 24-17 APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR TRANSIT AND TRANSPORTATION FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 - It is recommended the City Council adopt Resolution No. 24-17 approving the application for transit and transportation funds for Fiscal Year 2024-25.
