projected to be $56.56 million, which is a net increase of $2.61 million from the budget. She said property taxes are projected to be $10.25 million and remain the City's most stable revenue source.

Finance Manager Pascual reported that expenditures are projected to be $48.89 million, a net decrease of $521,180 from the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budgeted appropriations largely due to conservative budgeting. She said the City is committed to providing essential services to maintain the City as a safe and well-maintained community. She said it is the City's philosophy to save first and spend second for major projects and unplanned expenditures. She said the City would continue to closely monitor the changing economic conditions and decisions made by the federal, state and county governments that may directly impact the City.

Members of the City Council discussed the Mid-Year Budget Review for Fiscal Year 2025-26 and expressed appreciation to staff for preparing a comprehensive mid-year budget report.

4.3 2026 CONCERTS UNDER THE STARS AND NIGHT MARKET
City Manager Boynton introduced the item.

Community Services Director Oliver Osuna provided an update on the 2026 Concerts Under the Stars and Night Market. He said the City's 2026 summer concert series would commence on June 11 and continue through August 6. He said the upcoming summer series will feature a variety of music genres suitable for the whole family. He said the series kicks-off with a funk and soul band, followed by a wide variety of music including 80's, island fusion, and country. He said the popular Night Market would also return this year to offer attendees a wide variety of specialty foods, drinks, and desserts.

Community Services Director Osuna said since the 1990's, the City and County of Los Angeles have cooperatively hosted City-wide community events such as the Concerts Under the Stars at La Mirada Regional Park.

He said on December 12, 2025, the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation issued a letter to the City notifying staff that the Board of Supervisors had approved new and revised fees for use of La Mirada Regional Park. He said the new fees would be between $3,000 to $5,000 per concert resulting in a payment of up to $35,000 in fees to hold concerts at Regional Park in 2026. He said in 2025, the City paid a total of $3,517 to hold ten events at Regional Park. He said due to the County's increased fees, staff proposed relocating to Neff Park for the 2026 summer concert season. He also said the Community Services Commission was supportive of the move.
