SUBJECT: DESIGNATION OF A VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE LEAGUE
OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXPO
BACKGROUND
The League of California Cities is hosting its Annual Conference and Expo from September 23-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Every year, the League convenes a member-driven General Assembly at the conference where city officials can directly participate in the development of League policy. The General Assembly is comprised of voting delegates appointed by each member city with every city having one delegate.
FINDINGS
To cast a vote during the General Assembly, the City must designate a voting delegate.
This designation must be made through an official action by the City Council at a regular Mayor Anthony A. Otero will be attending the League of California Cities Conference and is available to serve as the City's delegate at the General Assembly.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
It is recommended the City Council designate Mayor Anthony A. Otero to serve as the City of La Mirada's voting delegate at the League of California Cities Annual Conference and Expo.
