CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Waldman called the Special Meeting of the La Palma City Council to order at 4:01 p.m. in the Council Chambers at La Palma City Hall, 7822 Walker Street, La Palma, California, with Council Member Keo being absent.

REGULAR ITEMS
1. Interim City Manager Agreement
Recommendation that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution and authorize the Mayor to sign an Employment Agreement with Michael J. Egan.
City Manager McNamara gave the Staff Report.
Council Member Comments and Questions:
Discussion ensued regarding the City Council's appreciation for the experience and knowledge that Interim City Manager Mike Egan will bring.
Mayor Pro Tem N. Patel made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2025-18 approving the Interim City Manager Agreement with Michael J. Egan.
The motion was seconded by Council Member Baker and carried on the following vote:

2. Approval of Executive Recruiter Agreement
Recommendation the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute an Agreement with Ralph Andersen & Associates for the recruitment of a new permanent City Manager.
City Manager McNamara gave the Staff Report.
Council Member Comments and Questions:
Discussion ensued regarding the Ad Hoc committee's background on the process and their rationale for selecting Ralph Anderson as the City's executive recruiter; and that the City has a previous history with Ralph Anderson in selecting our current City Manager McNamara into his position.
Council Member Keo made a motion to authorize the City Manager to execute an Agreement with Ralph Andersen & Associates for the recruitment of a new permanent City Manager.
The motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem N. Patel and carried on the following vote:
