Spanish Translation/Interpretation Services
The City offers live translation and interpretation services in Spanish. To access translation/interpretation during the meeting, please scan the QR Code below or visit https://attend.wordly.ai/join/FWOP-2761.
Additionally, Spanish interpreting services are provided at City Council meetings upon request. Simultaneous interpretation (English-to-Spanish) is available for listening to the meeting and consecutive interpretation (Spanish-to-English) is available to anyone addressing the City Council during oral communications. The use of City provided interpreters is not required and persons are welcome to use their own interpreter. Because many dialects and regionalism exist, the City cannot guarantee that interpreters will be able to interpret into a particular dialect or regionalism, and disclaims any liability alleged to arise from such services.
How to Submit Public Comment
Please note that all comments are subject to the same Rules of Decorum as would otherwise apply to speakers at City Council meetings.
In Person: Public comment may be provided in-person at City Hall, 15900 E. Main Street.
In Writing: Written comments may be sent via email to [email protected] no later than 2 hours prior to the meeting start time. Email comments will be distributed to the City Council and will become part of the official record for that meeting but will not be read at the time of the City Council Meeting. To ensure your correspondence is received by the Council and City staff, please include the subject line “PUBLIC COMMENT.”

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of La Puente is hereby called to be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, commencing at 10:00 a.m., in City Council Chambers, 15900 E. Main Street, La Puente, CA 91744. The public will be provided an opportunity to provide public comment on the items listed on the agenda. The business to be discussed is as follows:

FOR THE FINANCE MANAGER, COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM SUPERVISOR,
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN, AND GRANTS & HOUSING ANALYST Staff Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: (1) Approve the FY 2024-2025 Proposed Budget effective July 1, 2024; (2) Direct the City Manager to make any necessary changes to the recommended budget for incorporation into the final budget; (3) Adopt Resolution No. 24-5880 adopting the City’s Fiscal Year 2024-2025 annual budget; (4) Adopt Resolution No. 24-5881 adopting the City’s Gann Appropriation Limit for FY 2024-2025 and establishing controls on changes in appropriations for the various funds; (5) Adopt Resolutions No. 24-5882 and No. 24-5883 rescinding resolutions No. 24- 5871 and No. 24-5850 amending the comprehensive personnel system and establishing authorized parttime and full-time positions and rates for City employees; and (6) Approve the job descriptions for the Finance Manager, Community Outreach Program Supervisor, Information Technology Technician, and Grants & Housing Analyst positions.
