Confer with Legal Counsel Regarding Significant Exposure to Litigation (pursuant to Government Code section 54956.9(d)(2)) – one item: complaint alleging conduct of Councilmember George Weiss constituting harassment and creating hostile work environment. Councilmember Mark Orgill will be participating in the closed session remotely via teleconference from Hotel Z, 521 6th Ave., San Diego, CA 92101.
No other business shall be considered at the Special Closed Session Meeting.
POST MEETING REPORT:
City Attorney Phil Kohn reported that Mayor Bob Whalen, Mayor Pro Tem Sue Kempf, and Councilmember Alex Rounaghi were present and participated in person, and Councilmember Mark Orgill was present and participated via teleconference as noted on the agenda, for the discussion on the one item of significant exposure to litigation. There was no reportable action taken, and the Closed Session was continued to 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023.
