Recap of Minutes
PRESENT: Commissioners: Donna Ballard, Michael Ervin, Joan Gladstone, Pat Kollenda, Sindi Schwartz, Adam Schwerner, Carl Smith, and Nicole Strathman.
STAFF: Siân Poeschl, Cultural Arts Manager and Michael McGregor, Arts Program Coordinator.
COUNCIL: Councilmember Sue Kempf.
Donna Ballard called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
Art in Public Places – 288 Cress Street (Hanauer) – Staff Poeschl described the project and introduced artist Luis Longi. Mr. Longi presented the proposal to install the bronze sculpture “Ascension” at 288 Cress Street. A motion was made to recommend approval to the City Council of the bronze sculpture “Ascension” by Louis Longi for installation at 288 Cress Street to satisfy the Art in Public Places requirement Chapter 1.09 of the City’s Municipal Code for new development. Motion: Schwerner. Second: Ballard. Recused: Smith. Yeas: Ballard, Ervin, Gladstone, Kollenda, Schwartz, Schwerner, Strathman. Noes: None.
