8 SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL 2026 MEETING SCHEDULE
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Review and approve the City Council meeting schedule for the calendar year 2026.
SUMMARY OF THE MATTER
To establish a City Council meeting schedule for calendar year 2026, the attached draft schedule (Attachment 1) has been prepared for consideration by the City Council. The proposed schedule incorporates the following:
• The February 10, 2026, meeting will be designated for interviewing and appointing candidates to City boards and commissions.
• The June 9, 2026, meeting from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. will be designated for interviewing and appointing candidates to City boards and commissions, followed by the regular City Council meeting starting after 5:00 p.m.
