Subject: December 9th Council Meeting
Dear City Councilmen,
I highly support the arts and the proposal would prove that Laguna does too. Working artists do not make much money and this proposal, when passed, would help them greatly.
Thank you for your consideration.
Linh

Subject: City Council Agenda 12-9-25, Consent Calendar Item 24 Please accept the following as my public comment in lieu of a presentation at Tuesday's meeting. "I am a resident of, a realtor in, and operate a non-profit based out of Laguna Beach. From all of these perspectives I support the recommendations for this item.
Our non-profit is the mountain bike advocacy organization for Orange County (www.ocmtba.com), we fully respect the efforts by the city to honor the core threads of our legacy as we also have a four decade history in our coastal village. Making sure art stays at our heart is of paramount importance to keep Laguna what makes it special.
Moreover, from a realty perspective, I applaud the efforts to negotiate not only a reasonable purchase price, but also favorable loan terms while maintaining a focus on the ongoing operation financials. This is truly a work item where the city, the present owners, lending institutions and the artist community are working together for a positive solution.
Finally, as a resident, I appreciate the diligence represented in the design of the Laguna Beach Community Land Trust and the approach with which this transaction will be managed. Pursuing this unique set of properties, along with the process to fully empower the LBCLT, not only provides the fiduciary oversight but also visibility to other potential contributors. The model has been well thought out to protect the investment of our citizenry.
The recommendations in this Consent Calendar item support and progress the correct answer to preserve our culture, optimize our investment and protect our capitol. Therefore I would respectfully request that the council vote in favor of these actions.
Thank you."
