I am going to try to make this short and to the Point. I am the most impacted neighbor directly to the South, across from 31731 Seacove Drive. My address is 31676 Seacove.
I. City council Action Requested by City Staff:
1. Denial of Appeal Sustaining Design Review Approval
2. Variances for:
Front Yard Setback, Rear Yard Setback, and Additional
Building Setbacks
A New Pool Setback.
Categorical CEQA Exemption
II. Cut to the Chase:
1. The Deck:
The existing deck is 130 SF.
Applicant's Proposal: 733 SF = 5.6 times larger.
Approved Deck: 528 SF = 4 times larger (100 SF for each of 4 residents).
Comments:
There is no reason or justification for a deck this size.
The adjacent lots are small, approximately 1,500 SF.
All of the adjacent owners are in opposition to the size of this deck. The larger decks identified in the Staff.
