INTERVIEWS
4 SUBJECT: INTERVIEWS AND APPOINTMENTS TO THE RECREATION COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Interview the five applicants and appoint three residents to the Recreation Committee for two-year terms beginning April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2028.
SUMMARY OF THE MATTER
The Recreation Committee is a seven-member body that directs their efforts in the area of providing for the recreation and park needs of the community. Meetings are generally held on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m.
DISCUSSION
On March 31, 2026, the terms of three Recreation Committee members will expire: Newth Morris, Claudia Redfern, and Kelly Zinser. For the three openings, five applications were received before the deadline:
(1) Robert Klugman
(2) Sam L'ecuyer
(3) Newth Morris (Incumbent)
(4) Lisa Vanderbeek
(5) Kelly Zinser (Incumbent)

The recommended action has no financial impact to the budget.

The recommended action has no environmental impact.
