BUSINESS
11 SUBJECT: HOSPITAL ACTION PLAN DISCUSSION
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Hear from and discuss thoughts from Council Members Rounaghi and Whalen as to possible next steps to further protect the community’s interest via a further evaluation of possible changes in service by the operators of Mission Hospital in South Laguna; and
2. Make any appropriate recommendations as to next steps.
DISCUSSION
This item allows notification and time for the Council to discuss possible next steps to prepare for possible changes in hospital services associated with Mission Hospital, Laguna Beach.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
The recommended action has no financial impact to the budget.
ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS
The recommended action consists of organizational or administrative activities of the City that will not result in a direct or indirect physical change in the environment and therefore does not constitute a “project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act. (Public Resources Code Section 21065; 14 CCR Section 15378(b)(5).)
