CONSENT
8 SUBJECT: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2026 INVESTMENT POLICY RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the Resolution titled, “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE 2026 INVESTMENT POLICY”.
SUMMARY OF THE MATTER
On March 10, 2024, the proposed 2026 Investment Policy was presented to the City Council and the Investment Advisory Subcommittee, City Manager and City Treasurer were available for comments. That policy, as modified, has not received any additional comments to date.
This item would approve the 2026 Investment Policy by resolution, and would state that the Policy lives on until reviewed and/or replaced in 2027. We thank the members of the Investment Advisory Committee, especially its subcommittee (Members Brown and Ciabattoni), for the extensive work done to review and update the Policy.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
While adopting the Investment Policy and the tools within it directly impact the City’s finances, the recommended action itself has no specific budget impact.
ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS
The recommended action has no environmental impact.
