RESOLUTION NO. 26.018
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING AND
DETERMINING THAT WEEDS, RUBBISH, AND REFUSE UPON
THE STREETS, SIDEWALKS, PARKWAYS AND PRIVATE
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH ARE A PUBLIC
NUISANCE AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO MAIL
NOTICES TO DESTROY AND REMOVE SAID WEEDS,
RUBBISH AND REFUSE, AS REQUIRED BYLAW, AND FIXING
THE TIME FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS AND PROTESTS
The City Council of the City of Laguna Beach does resolve and order as follows:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, Chapter 13, Part 2, Division 3, Title 4 of the Government Code of the State of California and Chapter 12.12 of the Laguna Beach Municipal Code pe1iaining to abatement of weeds and obstructions to intersection visibility, the City Council of the City of Laguna Beach hereby determines and declares that all weeds, rubbish, and refuse located upon the streets, sidewalks, parkways and private property in the City of Laguna Beach hereinafter identified and described, are noxious and dangerous and endanger the public safety and are hereby declared a public nuisance. The streets, sidewalks, parkways, and private property in the City of Laguna Beach upon which or in front of which said weeds, rubbish, and refuse are located and designated and described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 2: That the 12th day of May 2026, at the hour of 5:00 p.m., shall be and the same hereby is fixed as the date, time, and place for the City Council to hear and consider all objections and protests, if any, to the proposed removal of said weeds and rubbish. The hearing will be conducted in Council Chambers. The notice mailed to property owners in accordance with Section 3 below shall contain instructions for presenting any objections and -1-

7 protests in writing and/or in person at the time of the hearing in Council Chambers.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Laguna Beach is hereby instructed to prepare and mail notices to destroy said weeds, rubbish, and refuse as required by law, to all persons owning property described in Section 1 hereof as shown on the last equalized assessment rolls, said notice to be mailed at least five days prior to the time for hearing objections by the City Council.
