PRESENTATION
2 SUBJECT: RECOGNITION OF GUILLERMO MORATORIO FOR HIS LIFESAVING ACTION
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Receive a presentation recognizing Guillermo for his heroic actions in assisting a swimmer in distress at Woods Cove and April 11, 2026.
SUMMARY OF THE MATTER
This item presents a Certificate of Recognition honoring Guillermo Moratorio for demonstrating exceptional bravery and public service by taking immediate action to assist a swimmer caught in a rip current at Woods Cove on April 11, 2026. His actions demonstrated courage, awareness, and a willingness to act in support of another individual during a potentially life-threatening event.
