These are photos of the flags that we see from our backyard and our bedroom. As you can see it totally blocks our view that we have seen for 34 years. I thought that I would add these to our letter.

We will be affected by this build in many ways.
1. If the driveway is lowered by 5ft will it affect the stability of our home as as projection is only 5 ft away from our property?
2. As the windows on this property will face our bedroom this will affect our privacy.
3. The lighting on the outside of this home will also affect us as it will shine in our bedroom at night.
4. The proposed fence which will be 8 to 12 feet high we think is in violation of building codes.
5. There were no Flags posted in the front of the property so we don't even know how close it will be to our home. This is a violation also.
6. The size of the new project is too big for the lot and is not conforming to our neighborhood. The lot is also right at a canyon. What are the requirements for this structure impacting the canyon?
7. The height of the structure poles indicate that the roof line of the proposed house will completely block our our view. The View that we have enjoyed for the last 34 years will be taken away from us and impact the value of our property. We moved here because of The View, the neighborhood and of course Laguna Beach.

8.Is this property eligible for historic Landmark designation as it is 100 years old. We would hate to see this structure destroyed if it is historic.

Hello Garrett,
My husband Justin and I are requesting a site visit from the DRB members to our home at 31538 West St. in regards to our neighbors proposed project at 31526 Valido Rd. This property is directly behind us. We are extremely concerned with the second level, and are particularly concerned with the potential window placement as our bedroom looks directly into their proposed second level. We have not seen the plans at all and we will be attending a meeting on Monday June 24th at 4pm with several other neighbors that have concerns. It would have been nice to have seen the plans before, but they did not want to share the second story with the neighbors,only the first floor plans. I have attached a photo we took of the poles and flags which went up today. This photo was taken from our bedroom window.
Unfortunately we are unable to attend the DRB meeting on 7/11 at 5pm as we are traveling to the East Coast to visit our family. Our flight leaves on the 11th at 10:30am and we understand zoom is no longer being used due to security issues from zoom bombers.
We are home most days, please let us know when you and/or the DRB members can come out. We feel them seeing our view in person standing in our bedroom would help them better understand our concerns.
