INTERVIEWS
1 SUBJECT: INTERVIEWS AND APPOINTMENTS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Re-appoint the three incumbents to the Planning Commission for two-year terms, beginning July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028.
SUMMARY OF THE MATTER
The Planning Commission is a five-member body appointed by the City Council for the purpose of reviewing and advising the Council on items related to the development and modification of land uses within the City limits. As such, the Commission reviews and recommends action on the development and amendment of the general plan, zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations and special projects related to land use planning. The regular meetings of the Commission are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m.
DISCUSSION
On June 30, 2026, the terms of three members of the Planning Commission will expire: Jorg Dubin, Steven Kellenberg, and Susan McLintock Whitin. For the three openings, four applications were received before the deadline; however, one person withdrew their application, resulting in three applications for the three openings:
(1) Jorg Dubin (incumbent)
(2) Steven Kellenberg (incumbent)
(3) Susan McLintock Whitin (incumbent)

The recommended action has no financial impact to the budget.
ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS
The recommended action has no environmental impact.
