Please include this non-agenda public comment in the official record of the October 13, 2026 City Council meeting and distribute it to the Council.
I am requesting an in-person meeting and meaningful assistance concerning disability-access barriers involving housing in Laguna Beach. I have applied for multiple rental units and report difficulties with landlords, especially Team Laguna, while trying to use my Orange County Housing Authority voucher. I request an impartial review of specific application and voucher-processing barriers, coordination with OCHA where appropriate, and a named City contact to identify available housing-navigation and reasonable-accommodation resources.
I also request appropriate independent review or referral of my complaints concerning Laguna Beach Community Clinic and Friendship Shelter, including disability access and continuity of services. These are allegations requiring investigation, not established findings.
Please confirm receipt, provide the procedure for speaking in person tonight, and arrange an accessible follow-up meeting with the Mayor or designated City leadership. Please identify the responsible staff member and provide a written response timeline. I request reasonable accommodations for communication and participation because of my disabilities.
