6 SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL 2027 MEETING SCHEDULE
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Review and approve the City Council meeting schedule for the calendar year 2027.
SUMMARY OF THE MATTER
To establish a City Council meeting schedule for calendar year 2027, the attached draft schedule (Attachment 1) has been prepared for consideration by the City Council. The proposed schedule incorporates the following:
• The February 9, 2027, meeting will be designated for interviewing and appointing candidates to City boards and commissions.
• The June 8, 2027, meeting from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. will be designated for interviewing and appointing candidates to City boards and commissions, followed by the regular City Council meeting starting after 5:00 p.m.
In addition to the regularly scheduled City Council Meetings, several special meetings are held throughout the year. These special meetings are listed below and included in the proposed schedule:
Strategic Planning Workshop Friday, January 31, 2027 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Quarterly Appeals Only Tuesday, January 19, 2027 3:00 p. m. – 7:00 p.m.
Quarterly Appeals Only Tuesday, May 4, 2027 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Quarterly Appeals Only Tuesday, July 20, 2027 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Quarterly Appeals Only Tuesday, November 2, 2027 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
