CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP ITEMS
1 Review of Civic Center Budget and Consideration of Proposed Repairs and Improvements
Public Works Director/City Engineer Ames reviewed the information provided in the staff report, provided a PowerPoint presentation and responded to Council Member requests for additional information.
City Manager Hildenbrand responded to Council Member requests for additional information.
City Attorney Simonian responded to Council Member requests for additional information.
Recommendation: That the City Council: 1) Authorize the Finance Director to amend the fiscal year 2022-2023 budget by $850,000 for CIP No. 505, Civic Center Improvements, funded by General Fund reserves; 2) Authorize the Finance Director to amend the fiscal year 2022-2023 budget by $100,000 as a transfer from the General Fund reserves into the Civic Center Enterprise Fund; City of Laguna Hills City Council/Planning Agency Tuesday, March 14, 2023 Special Meeting Minutes
2 3) Find that environmental review is not required under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, Section 15301 as a Class 1 Categorical Exemption - “Existing Facilities;” 4) Provide direction to City staff regarding future leasing of the Civic Center; and 5) Receive and file the Civic Center Second Quarter Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
