Good afternoon,
After reviewing the proposed budget for 25/26 and forward, I noticed that we are currently slated to increase our spend from approximately $11.3 million to $12.1 million in 25/26 and $12.65 million in 26/27. In comparing against other cities, such as Aliso Viejo, we are spending more on the cost of enforcement to the tune of $ in this projected budget. Lastly, has there been an investigative inquiry into the cost structure increases with this service and have there been comparable cost evaluations performed for similar available policing and public safety resources to ensure that the Mayor and City Council have been good stewards of our money?
