Subject: Agreement with Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. for Environmental Services Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Contractor Services Agreement for On- Call Services with Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., for Environmental Services in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 per Fiscal Year for a term of three (3) years in such final form as approved by the City Attorney and authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not to exceed a 10% contingency of $1,000.00 for unanticipated costs.
Background
Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. has provided services to the City of Lake Elsinore for the past three years. Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. provides comprehensive and environmentally friendly solutions for managing various aspects of industrial waste. Safety-Kleen helps to properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials, such as used oil, solvents, and other industrial waste streams.
They offer services like waste collection, recycling, and re-refining that promote sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations.
Discussion
Staff would like to continue with the much-needed services as the City of Lake Elsinore can benefit from expertise, sustainable practices, and cost-effective solutions for managing industrial waste while ensuring compliance and promoting environmental responsibility.
Fiscal Impact
Funds are available in the City’s Fiscal Year 23/24 Annual Operating Budget.
