Weareexcitedtowelcomeyouintothe2023-2024cohort of theStanfordImpact LabsEvidenceforPolicyFellowship-congratulations! TheStanfordImpact LabsEvidencefor PolicyFellowshipisaone-year programdevelopedtosupport theprofessional development andpolicygoalsof careerstaff onteamsinlocal governmentsinCalifornia. Theprogramwill support thesekeystaff astheyseektobringdata, evidence, andresearchtobear inthedesignandimplementationof apolicypriorityintheir owncommunities.
Wearewritingtoconfirmtheawardof $50,000associatedwiththisfellowship. Thesefundsmaybespent flexiblyduringtheone-year fellowshipperiodfor bothstaff timeandcostsassociatedwithmovingapolicychallengefromquestiontoinsight toimplementation. Fellowshipactivitiesincludeattendingin-personandvirtual workshops, participatinginone-on-onementorshipwithSILstaffandexternal coaches, anddevelopingandimplementingadata, evidence, andresearchplan. Beyondsupportingstaff participationintheprogram, weexpect that identifyinghowbest toutilizethesefundswill beonekeyoutcomeof thefirst threemonthsof designworkinthefellowship. Thefundswill bedisbursedquarterly, uponthereceipt of invoicefromyoutoStanfordImpact Labs.
