Subject: City Council Meeting Dates for 2024
Recommendation
Review the 2024 meeting dates and approve canceling the Regular meetings of November 26 and December 24, 2024.
Background
The Regular meetings of the City Council and the Successor Agency are set in the Municipal Code as the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. The City Council has the authority to cancel meetings as necessary.
Discussion
The meetings on November 26th and December 24th are near the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. Due to the potential of a lack of quorum because of the holidays, it is recommended that the meetings be canceled. All remaining meeting dates for the year, as listed in Attachment 1, do not pose any foreseen conflicts at this time.
