Subject:Agreement for On-Call Services with Commercial Transportation Services, Inc. for Driver Training
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Professional Services Agreement with Commercial Transportation Services, Inc., for On-Call Services for Driver Training in an amount not to exceed $24,985.44 per Fiscal Year for a term of three (3) years in such final form as approved by the City Attorney and authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not to exceed a 10% contingency of $2,498.00 for unanticipated costs.
Background
Commercial Transportation Services, Inc. has provided services to the City of Lake Elsinore for the past four years. Commercial Transportation Services specializes in providing comprehensive driver training programs. They have the expertise and resources to offer a structured and effective training curriculum that covers all essential aspects of safe and efficient driving. Commercial Transportation Services ensures that drivers receive professional training that meets industry standards.
Discussion
Staff would like to continue with the much-needed training program tailored to Class A licenses.
These programs cover all the training and instruction required to obtain a Class A license, including the written exams and the hands-on skill test. Commercial Transportation Services provides hands-on training, teaches proper driving techniques, and helps trainees develop the necessary skills to handle the challenges of driving Class A vehicles safely and efficiently.
